Wedding Cake

So my friends mother got married on Saturday 10 September and I made her cake. The top 2 tiers were choc mud cake and the bottom was fruit cake. Very stressful as I had never made a fruit cake and not sure that I ever will again!! Although it did taste very good if I do say so myself.

Fathers Day

Been busy lately but managed to get a cake done for Fathers Day. Choc mud with choc panels and malteesers. Really yummy!

Happy Birthday Twins.

Today was my sisters twins 4th birthday. Graceanne requested a pink princess castle and so that is what she got.

My little friend at school, Izack is a huge Thomas the Tank Engine fan and so of course his cupcakes reflected that.

Purple Cupcakes

Last weekend a girlfriend's daughter ( a young lady in her 20s) asked mum to make cakes for her work. So what did mum do?? Asked me to make them. Choc mud cakes with purple icing and purple flowers. Very pretty and girly. Young lady was very happy but didn't even try to hide the fact that she knew mum didn't make them !!

Cake Course

So yesterday I did my very first cake decorating course. A one day course on handmade flowers. We had to take a cake already made but covered it and then decorated it with the beautiful carnations and blossoms we had made in the morning. The tutor was so fantastic I am considering another of her courses which starts this week.

So here are the other 2 cakes from the weekend. On the left is the wedding cake. A triple layer butter cake with lemon butter cream filling and cupcakes. On the right is a cake I made for my friend Alisha who turned 10 over the weekend. The main cake had white on white flower cutouts and yellow butterflies.

What a few days it has been. 4 cakes and a trip to the dentist to top it off. Had a tooth pulled on Friday afternoon. Not fun at all!! Ben 10 cake was picked up Friday night. Tractor cake delivered to party today. Wedding cake and girls birthday cake to be delivered in the morning.
